How much blood do PRODIGY® test strips require to perform a glucose test?
The PRODIGY® No Coding Blood Glucose Test Strips require just a 0.7 micro-liter drop of blood.

How many test results can my meter hold?
The AutoCode® and Voice® meters hold up to 450 test results, while the Pocket® meter holds up to 120. Use our free Diabetes Management software to download unlimited test results on your computer.

Does my PRODIGY® meter have a warranty?
Yes it does! All PRODIGY® meters include a Limited Lifetime warranty. For more details, see our Warranty Page.

Does Prodigy® have software available to help me manage my readings?
Yes! Our free Diabetes Management Software helps to track and trend your progress, and it can be downloaded at Software Download.

Which unit of measurement does my meter use?
The standard unit of measurement in the United States is milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), but Prodigy offers readings in millimoles per liter (mmol/L) as well for users in other countries.

How do I turn my meter off?
All PRODIGY® meters will power off in left untouched for 2 minutes. Meters will also turn off automatically when a test strip is taken out of the test strip port.

What kind of reagent technology does PRODIGY® No Coding Blood Glucose Test Strips use?
It is called Glucose Oxidase. Glucose Oxidase is an accurate technology that is not affected by Maltose and other forms of sugar that lead to falsely elevated readings.

How can I mark a control solution test?
When the blood drop indicator appears on your meter’s screen, press the “M” button, and a control solution icon will appear on the screen. Marking a control solution test allows an individual test to not be stored in the meter’s memory.

How long will my batteries last?
Most batteries last for approximately 1,000 tests.

What is the temperature operating range of my PRODIGY® meter?
PRODIGY® meters are designed to operate between the temperatures of 50°F – 104°F (10°C – 40°C).

Does my meter require cleaning and maintenance?
As long as blood and control solution do not come in contact with the internal part of your meter, cleaning is not required. Simply use a damp cloth with water and mild detergent to wipe down the outside of your meter.

What is the glucose reading range of my meter?
PRODIGY® meters are designed to read glucose levels between 20-600 mg/dL or 1.1-33.3 mmol/L.
